Sofishare's mission is to promote a worldwide person-to-person vehicle exchange that will reduce the unnecessary use of cars and increase the enjoyment of them, improve the quality of the environment in our cities and neighborhoods and beyond, and foster friendship and travel through a network that brings together individuals with complementary interests. Sofishare's person-to-person carsharing takes the many benefits of conventional carsharing solutions and expands them to a global scale.

Carsharing is also about shifting towards a slower, more grounded lifestyle. We have experienced or heard of the value of "slow food", but what about "slow life"? Carsharing gets our feet on the ground, gets us walking in our communities, knocking on doors, and gently begins to transform our habit of racing anywhere at any time for any reason and at any expense. It is a way to connect with others who share a desire to work collaboratively, and profitably, towards a more sustainable way of life.
